Etch Hobbing ® uses the controlled disintegration of metal to refine the die sinking process in the production of tool-steel cavities and cores.

With the use of chemicals and specially designed presses, the finished hob reproduces fine details in cores and cavities.

Our process also allows us to work from an existing core or cavitiy and, unlike EDM-ing, "Etch Hobbing" will produce identical cavities from the same master.
