Wisconsin Engraving Company offers both conventional probe digitizing and non-contact laser digitizing.
Our digitizing department gives us the ability to capture part geometry with a resolution of .0004". Once the data has been scanned or digitized, we can output it as a clouds of points, IGES curves, or polygons (STL format).
From this information, we can offer you a wide variety of services, including surface modeling and tool path generation.
We can provide customers with a graphic representation of the digitized objects, enlargement and reduction to scale, mirrored images, male/female conversion, and complex surface development for product design. The scanned data can also be downloaded to various CAM software formats, ready to tool path generation. All this data can be forwarded or transferred via the Internet (FTP), CD-ROM, or other compatible media.
